Is Trump’s Commonwealth Pivot a Globalist Checkmate?
From Populism to Palace: Why the Commonwealth isn’t what it seems.
A sobering exploration of populist optics and globalist outcomes.
When news broke that former U.S. President Donald Trump had expressed fervent support for the United States joining the British Commonwealth of Nations, some in the populist and nationalist spheres celebrated it as a defiant move against the globalist status quo. I was one of them. I listed sound reasons.
“In a recent article,” I wrote, “President Donald Trump sent a clear message to the Davos/WEF/Fabian globalists by announcing his support for joining the Commonwealth. Such a move would cause a seismic geopolitical shift, especially within the recent context of Brexit, frustrating the one-world socialist agendas of the European Union and globalist elites.” View now
At first glance, it felt like a powerful gesture, Trump seemingly rallying America toward a heritage-based alliance of sovereign nations rather than falling back under the thumb of centralized bureaucracies like the EU or UN. For many, the Commonwealth still conjures images of tradition, independence, and shared values rooted in Western legal and cultural foundations.
In the back of my mind, King Charles as the self-proclaimed “Defender of Many Faiths” and “Climate King” always reverberated. The hope was he’d had a change of heart perhaps. I also wrote,
“In closing, with globalist pressures mounting, King Charles now stands at a crossroads: will he cling to the climate scam and the secular, technocratic agenda, or will he seize the opportunity to align with a rising sovereign alliance rooted in faith, liberty, and national identity?” View now
But upon deeper examination, a more complex—and sobering—picture emerged.
The Commonwealth Rebranded
The Commonwealth of Nations today is not the same entity it was a generation ago. Under King Charles III, it has quietly undergone a dramatic rebrand—shifting from a ceremonial post-colonial fraternity to a networked soft-governance system deeply embedded in modern globalist initiatives.
Far from being a retreat from globalism, the Commonwealth is now at the forefront of:
ESG-driven economics (via the Sustainable Markets Initiative and Terra Carta)
Digital ID systems (with active pilots in Canada, Australia, Singapore, and several developing nations)
Climate policy enforcement through public-private partnerships
Standardized education reform that promotes global citizenship and sustainable development goals
Soft-law frameworks that shape national policy without public accountability or legislative oversight
All of this is carried out under the language of “shared values,” development, and equity—making it politically uncontroversial, while functionally globalist.
"Some believe courts or corporate alliances (backed by the 'Crown' or WEF-style networks) will ensure that sovereign states can't overrule globalist megacorps."
This view ties into a larger belief held by political theorists, decentralization advocates, and researchers of global power structures that supranational alliances have more sway over national policy and local governance than is commonly acknowledged.
Who or what is “The Crown”? It isn’t necessarily King Charles himself, but rather something far more structural and enduring. At the center of this concept is the City of London Corporation—an ancient and autonomous financial district nestled within the heart of London. Far from just another borough, the City has its own lord mayor, its own legal system, and centuries-old ties to global finance and imperial power. It operates independently from the British government and is often referred to symbolically as “The Crown” in research circles that trace the intersection of legal, financial, and military power across Western geopolitical systems. In this view, “The Crown” represents a sovereign corporate power center—one that has outlasted kings and parliaments, quietly steering the engines of global influence behind the curtain of tradition and legitimacy.
The Hidden Empire Still in Control?
At the top of this structure, though rarely acknowledged, are three sovereign city-states that still call the shots: The City of London (financial power), the Vatican (religious and ideological power), and Washington D.C. (military enforcement). These entities operate independently from the nations they appear to be part of and serve as autonomous engines of global control, what many researchers call “The Empire of the City.”
Each governs its own laws, banking systems, and foreign policies, yet they coordinate their influence through powerful institutions such as the IMF, NATO, Bank for International Settlements, and various UN agencies. Whether it’s ESG finance, climate regulation, digital governance, or educational standardization, you can usually trace the flow of influence back to these three nodes.
These city-states don’t need armies to invade, they function through legal contracts, debt mechanisms, digital infrastructures, and cultural narratives. And the rebranded Commonwealth, far from operating outside of this empire, appears to be aligning with it. Not replacing it, but quietly extending its reach under the cover of tradition and royal diplomacy.
King’s Charter to Cultural Capture
Columbia’s Crown Connection
Columbia University was originally established in 1754 as King’s College, founded by the royal charter of King George II of Great Britain, a direct extension of the British Crown’s influence in the American colonies. Its very origins were rooted in loyalty to the monarchy, serving as an elite institution to shape leadership and values. Today, while Columbia appears far removed from its royal origins, the ideological legacy of top-down influence remains eerily intact.
Columbia has evolved into a global epicenter for “woke” ideology, advancing progressive doctrines that mirror Fabian socialist strategies—gradual, intellectual infiltration of institutions rather than open revolution. The presence of figures like Edward Said, whose post-colonial theories reshaped Western academia, laid the groundwork for cultural subversion via language, education, and identity politics. In recent years, this has reached a critical new phase with the rise of pro-Hamas, anti-American and anti-Israel demonstrations on campus—activity that many identify as part of a broader American Maoist style cultural revolution within universities.
These movements, under the guise of social justice, increasingly reflect radical ideological capture and expose the extent to which Columbia’s transformation from a British royal institution to a modern ideological battlefield—continues to serve as a power weapon shaping generations of thought, loyalty, and worldview. From King George’s charter to modern identity engineering, Columbia reflects a broader Crown-to-Campus continuum, where the tools of empire have evolved from muskets and mandates to curriculum and critical theory—capturing generations of minds through a subversive Christless ideological plundering.

Consensus in the Alt-Research Sphere
In light of the above, coming against the Crown’s agenda, especially as it operates through the coordinated influence of the City of London (finance), Washington D.C. (military), and the Vatican (ideological control)—is ultimately seen by many as a futile endeavor because these three sovereign city-states do not merely influence global affairs; they engineer the frameworks through which modern power is exercised. Their reach extends beyond elections and legislation, embedding itself into the legal systems, debt structures, educational standards, and digital infrastructure of nearly every nation on earth. Together, they form a triad of control—money, might, and meaning—that undergirds the Crown’s soft-law empire.
Any nation, leader, or populist movement that dares challenge this alignment quickly finds itself isolated, undermined, or absorbed—not necessarily through overt force, but by the sheer gravitational pull of systems that were designed to be inescapable. In this context, resistance without total sovereignty or spiritual clarity is not only dangerous—it is structurally doomed to be redirected or dismantled.
A Shift in Perspective
What I once viewed as a potential return to national sovereignty and traditional Western ethics for a free world under classical liberalism now appears to be part of a broader, more subtle consolidation of global power through Lawfare frameworks, ESG economics, digital ID infrastructure, and climate-driven policy alignment. This realization has caused me to reassess my initial optimism.
Rather than representing a bold stand against technocracy, Trump’s Commonwealth pivot may signal a rebranding of populism, not its resurgence. It raises the question: is this a geopolitical realignment with sovereignty in mind, or a checkmate move by globalist factions who have simply updated their operating system? The North American alliance or Technate sure seems to be taking shape under a new umbrella of branding.
From Technate to Technocracy—A Silent Evolution
Born out of early 20th-century, the Technocracy movement took shape in the 1930s, building on ideas that had been forming since the 1910s. Its architects, including Howard Scott and M. King Hubbert, envisioned a continent-spanning Technate of North America, where elected politicians would be replaced by engineers and scientists. (Sound familiar?) Encompassing Canada, (now including Greenland?), the U.S., Mexico, and even parts of Central America and the Caribbean, the Technate would manage every citizen as a measured component in an energy-based economy, with consumption controlled for the sake of sustainability.
Though the movement lost momentum after World War II, its ideals now echo through today’s digital ID systems, ESG mandates, and centralized data governance. What we’re witnessing under the banner of climate action, ‘OneHealth’ and social equity may, in fact, be the quiet unfolding of the Technate—not as a theory, but as reality in motion.
Sovereignty Theater?
So all that said, with regard to the prospect of Trump teaming up with the Commonwealth, the greatest danger here isn’t just geopolitical—it’s psychological. The danger is in mistaking symbolic sovereignty for the real thing.
The modern Commonwealth avoids the hard edges of treaties or trade blocs. It doesn’t legislate—it conditions. It doesn’t coerce—it converges. It implements WEF-aligned policy not by force(yet), but by incentivized consensus, development grants, and elite diplomacy.
In this way, it becomes a delivery system for globalist infrastructure with less resistance, and more applause.
A Biblical Perspective for Such a Time as This
In the face of these unfolding power shifts, we must remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). As believers, we are not spectators to history—we are participants in a divine commission. It is no accident that we are living in this moment. God, in His sovereignty, placed us here now to be His ambassadors, proclaiming truth, standing for righteousness, and pointing people to the only true King whose kingdom will never be shaken.
While the systems of man consolidate and rebrand, our call is to remain anchored in Christ, discerning the times, and walking forward in faith—not fear.
Final Thought
Trump aligning with the Commonwealth may still frustrate EU centralizers or UN technocrats. It may even offer a new kind of cooperation.
But unless it directly confronts the core globalist ideologies embedded in today’s Commonwealth—its ESG mandates, digital control agendas, and top-down climate frameworks—then this may be less a revolution, and more a coronation.
Not a break from globalism… but a reentry into it.
Populism may still wear the crown or the MAGA hat—but the empire behind it is quietly moving the Agenda 21 goalpost forward.
