Secret Wars: Christian Communism and The Cult of Consensus
Your rulers are rebels and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe and pursues rewards. They do not pursue justice… (Isaiah 1:23)
The Beast is no longer in hiding. Now, the message burns openly for all to see: the “climate change” movement is not about “saving the environment.” It is about control. Period.
“If you can’t beat ’em, deceive ’em. For years the environmental Left has tried to infiltrate conservative churches, spreading a “gospel” of global warming, junk science, and radical anti-human ideology in place of biblical teaching. The scheme is called “creation care,” and it’s brought to you by the heirs to the eugenics, forced sterilization, and abortion-on-demand campaigns pioneered by social engineers and so-called Progressives in the 20th century. Yet the goal of this secret war couldn’t be clearer: permanently split Evangelical voters from the Republican Party.”1
Our latest video, titled: Creation Care: The Christian Cult of Consensus Communism, is a 25-minute, point-by-point rebuke of the climate change movement and rebuttal to California Pastor Gavin Ortlund's video, Climate Change: Why Christians Should Engage.
In his presentation, Ortlund urges Christians to lead the climate change movement. That is a horrible idea that will bring nothing but harm to not only Christians, but the entire world.
Ortlund claims, “if you are pro life then you must support the climate change movement” because, he appeals, “when famines happen in poor countries, people die.”
Gavin's premise: There is overwhelming consensus that man-made climate change is a real problem that causes people to die.
His conclusion: Therefore, we must be engaged in climate action or "Creation Care" as a gospel matter and "loving your neighbor." The argument is logically flawed because the conclusion does not follow from the premise.
Like so many today, Gavin is relying on popular opinion, non-credible sources, as well as moralizing and appealing to emotion. In our video, I am presenting accurate, authoritative, and relevant testimony in the form of direct statements from credible climate scientists, physicists, and journalists with relevant experience to refute Gavin's premise and the empty and misleading claims of “consensus science.” The fact that many people (including possibly many scientists) agree on something does not, by itself, make it true or justify any specific course of action.
“Creation Care” and Communist Tactics
The evangelical church is currently under siege by well-funded Leftist globalist groups that have strategically influenced church leaders through financial support and promises of power. Their objective is clear: to steer a significant portion of Christians away from conservative principles, mislead congregations under the guise of social and environmental responsibility, coerce naive evangelicals into endorsing political agendas that are counter to their own best interests and fundamentally in conflict with biblical doctrine.
This alarming shift is the subject of Megan Basham’s controversial new book, Shepherds For Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda, released by Harper Collins on July 30th.
Basham’s work offers a critical examination of how progressive ideologies have infiltrated American evangelical circles, revealing that many esteemed evangelical leaders have compromised their doctrinal integrity in exchange for political and social influence on issues such as climate change, LGBT rights, and immigration. The book has ignited widespread debate and controversy, quickly rising to bestseller status and sparking heated discussions across social media platforms.
The process of evil finding its way into the church:
First they ignore evil.
Then they permit evil.
Then they legalize evil.
Then they promote evil.
Then they celebrate evil.
Then they persecute those who still call it evil.
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil..." (Isaiah 5:20)
Part 1 “Creation Care”: Environmentalism’s Secret War on Christianity
https://capitalresearch.org/article/creation-care-part-1/
Capital Research Center has done a masterful job of investigating and revealing the dirty details of this insidious movement of lies. The following is a summary of “Part 1” of a series they filed on the case beginning in 2020 and continuing up the the present.
“Creation care” is the Left’s most recent attempt to fool right-leaning voters into supporting policies and politicians they would otherwise oppose. It’s old fashioned environmentalism, repackaged with a biblical veneer and marketed as a “gospel issue”—drawing attention to environmental stewardship and public health issues that pro-life Christians have supposedly ignored.”1
Creation care, as redefined by some, seeks to expand the term “pro-life” to include environmentalism, diluting its original meaning. This redefinition serves as a vehicle for promoting left-wing agendas such as wealth redistribution, open borders, and population control within the church. Rather than reflecting biblical principles, creation care is being used by secularists to introduce progressive policies into churches, threatening both religious freedom and the unity of conservative Evangelicals. The ultimate aim of these efforts is to drive a wedge between Evangelicals and the Republican Party, advancing a more extreme political agenda.
Creation Care’s Origins and Definition
"Creation care" emerged in the mid-1990s as a “Christian approach” to environmentalism, but it diverges from traditional Christian teachings by emphasizing human control over the Earth's future rather than God's sovereignty.
The movement often reinterprets biblical verses to support environmental agendas aligned with secular political goals. This shift is seen as an evolution of 20th-century theological liberalism, which redefined key Christian doctrines to fit modern ideologies.
The origins of “creation care” trace back to a 1990 "Open Letter" led by Carl Sagan, which urged religious communities to adopt environmentalism as a doctrinal concern. This movement gained momentum in the 1990s, particularly with global actions like the U.N. Earth Summit and the Kyoto Protocol. The blending of environmentalism with organized religion aimed to influence conservative Evangelicals and Roman Catholics, marking a significant shift in the relationship between faith and public policy.
Creation Care Is Born . . . with Leftist Money
The National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE), founded in 1993, was established by a coalition of religious organizations, including the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the National Council of Churches of Christ. Led by Paul Gorman, an ally of atheists and a radical environmentalist, the NRPE was closely tied to left-wing politics from its inception. Despite its claims of non-partisanship, the NRPE has actively lobbied for environmental policies and received over $17 million in funding from liberal foundations, such as the Hewlett Foundation and the Energy Foundation. These foundations, known for their support of progressive causes, have significantly influenced the NRPE’s agenda, aligning it with broader leftist environmental and political goals. The NRPE’s creation and operations exemplify how religious movements can be used to advance secular political interests.
While Christians are undoubtedly called to be good stewards of the earth, we are also commanded to be discerning of the times in which we live. This discernment requires vigilance against deception, particularly from those who might exploit our desire to honor God. Failing to recognize the cultural revolution unfolding around us could lead to our unwitting participation in a movement that mirrors the tactics of Mao’s cultural revolution, using environmental concerns as a tool to manipulate and control the masses.
Globalism is Satanic: The Underlying Agenda
At the core of the climate change movement and its associated policies lies a broader, more sinister agenda: globalism. As David Hilton argues in his article "Globalism is Satanic," this political ideology is a modern form of utopianism that seeks to destroy the divine order established by God. Globalism is not just a political strategy; it is a secular religion, a cult that will stop at nothing to achieve its vision of heaven on earth, even if it means sacrificing countless lives.
The push for global governance, the erosion of national sovereignty, and the imposition of uniform policies across the world are all manifestations of this satanic agenda. As Christians, we must recognize the spiritual battle at play and stand firm against these forces that seek to undermine God's plan for humanity.
Conclusion: A Call to Discernment
The infiltration of the evangelical church by Leftist political groups and the push for climate change activism are part of a larger effort to lead Christians away from biblical truth. While we are called to be good stewards of the earth, we must also be vigilant in discerning the spirit of the age.
The climate change narrative, like many other aspects of the globalist agenda, is about control, not conservation. As believers, we must resist the temptation to conform to popular opinion and instead remain grounded in the truth of God's Word. Globalism, with its roots in satanic deception, must be recognized for what it is: a direct assault on the sovereignty of God and the order He has established.

Thank you! Informative and much needed read based on how we, as Christians, should think about and react to some of these things going on around us. We can’t go wrong if we base our truth on the only truth, which is the Word of God, in these days of extreme deception. God bless you
